Update on Spring in New England 2011

Spring comes sooner to some parts of New England than others....
Which is fine, some of us prefer the snow anyway. ;)

The brilliant blue sky looked really good.
The warmth of the sun with the snow still under foot is a treat!
Weeeeee, Happy Doggy!
Runnin' and runnin!
Awwww,  Marley Munchkin...
Miss Ava lovin' spring in Maine!
Meanwhile, back home on the Wankinco the swans have started to return.
Last spring we had a head count of 40.
Pretty little critters huh?

And this one... I'm not sure what it is, but it's got a mohawk hair do and bright red eyes!
A little blurry as it was getting dusky while i was taking it's picture, and as you can see it's buzzing along like a little motor boat!

  1. Nice pictures Mel ... you can tell that the dogs feel very comfy with the snow.
I love swans. Wish I had so many of them around ... what? We don't even have a river nearby ... 'sigh'... should I move???
Nice punky duck by the way ...:-)

  2. Gosh you still have snow! Your dogs look like they really enjoy it. Beautiful swans, and I've never seen a duck like that before.

  3. Oooh, cute doggies! And having so much fun!! I'm sure they'll miss the snow once it's gone. But you can look forward to tulips and crocusses....here most of them are already gone again....

  4. Well you all seem to be enjoying your walk, with such a beautiful blue sky. It does seem strange seeing the snow. Yes, send a swan please. Lovely to see so many together. Hope it warms up soon.

  5. LOVELY Melody! Spring looks much the same here although we have a lot more snow as yet. I hope that you are enjoying the weather for as long as it lasts. Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!

  6. Loving the pictures above! I particularly like the tree picture - all those branches reaching for the sun, we should be more like them.
The dogs are gorgeous, Miss Ava is certainly enjoying the snowy spring, I would, too!
