February is off and running!

So once our blizzard was done blizzarding.....

The Sun came out!
Annie was right! (of course she was.)
Belle even came out (she doesn't "do" precipitation).
After we shoveled her a spot that is.
                                                         The birds were frolicking.....

The Snowmen were springing up all over.....

It's such a colorful time of year....
Barry B. Badger was out and about...
He's an amateur Weather Prognosticator, case you didn't know.

Curiously, I had drawn a picture of Barry... a year ago, before i actually met him.
Who knew?
The world works in mysterious ways.

"Get away from my bread-cicle you little Pipsqueak...."

I even managed to make some Welsh (pony?) Cakes!
(Cooking/baking and I.... not always a good combination....)
                                                          Read my book.....sipped my tea.
The dogs do so love a good snow fall!
Seriously my favorite picture EVER of them!
Small dog.... BIG shadow.

Hope you have a DAZZLING kind of day!
The End.
For now.... butt we'll be back.

  1. I was waiting to see how long those carrot noses lasted! Is the first bird a form of Nuthatch? It looks similar to our UK nuthatches. Would love to know. CT :o)

    1. Yes, I believe it is a Nuthatch.... there were two of them ~ going down the tree upside down like they do! Lots of snow seems to bring all manner of bird life to the feeders! :)

  2. Glad to see you!! Quite a lot of snow there, we keep getting little bits and it's freezing, need some bright sunshine now, there's been a distinct lack of it, too many grey days. I love the birds, it does look a bit nuthatchy that first bird and a bit woodpeckery the 2nd, do you call them flickers or something?? Love the dogs and the carrot eating and the long shadows, those 2 big noses are ace :) xX

    1. I just looked up the wood pecker, it's a "red bellied woodpecker" ??? Curious... perhaps the name "Red Head" wood pecker was already taken? We seem to have jumped into winter over here, all at once! Loving it of course! :)))

    1. Maybe if we got Belle a hat and some woozy boots, she might like it more??

  7. Hey, do you have your sparkling door knob at last? Not as good as the Nantucket one but it'll do. ;-)))
Tonto and Belle do know how to pose for a photo, don't you think? Good to see Ava and Marley are enjoying themselves. ;-)

  8. I don't know where to begin! I think my favorite is the carrot stealing picture....although, maybe the culprit was really putting the nose ON the snowman instead of taking a bite. The dogs sure look like they're enjoying the snow. I so enjoy your posts. I'm not sure I'm crazy about how winter did arrive all at once. Brrr! Stay warm and enjoy!

    1. So if I put the pictures up in reverse, it would appear he (Tonto) had installed the carrot nose! ha ha ha
More snow on the way for the weekend! ~ :))))

  9. Gosh you really did get snow, the last post was pretty deep and glad to know you are such a lover of snow as you have lots of animals to look after, make sure they are all safe and fed. Had a laugh at badger Barry, as Someone has the same name and I think he owns a red jacket too. I love a good selection of bright coloured hats and mitts, warm and happy wearing them and building all those great snowmen. Great leggings.
Have a great weekend and lots more fun in the snow. What is the weather forecast? Keep cosy .x
