Already October!

Wow, where did September go?
Well, where does time in general go???
So what has been up here in New England  you ask?
Welllllllll.....  never a dull moment, as usual.

Back in September, I was asked if I wanted to go out for ice cream. (it was a trap.)
This is apparently what ice cream is "code" for.
 Meet Tonto.
(please, don't feel the need to remind me that I didn't want anything else with a pulse, I have my Mother to do that.)(and yes, I remember the rat's have pulses too,.. thank you.)
Please, don't ask me why?  (I'm not sure).
Please don't ask how.  (I was staring into his big blue eyes thinking about my promised ice cream cone, and missed the part when Hubby said, "we'll take him!"  ~
I'm still a little shocked by it myself.
I can only say that marriage has taught me to choose my battles carefully, and that another wee pony is better than a (live) Clydesdale on my front lawn (Clyde here, he's O.K. and he doesn't say much)

..... and certainly better than a school bus on the front lawn.

When we weren't out having ice cream.... we also went to the Fair (Common Ground, in Unity, ME) ~ and since we got a late start at our fair going.. my picture taking was rather limited.
Though I did get this nice shot of a cow, presumably getting ready for Halloween?
and this one, as we were walking back to the van, thru the forest, as the sun set, and the fog descended, and the temperature dropped like a rock.
Rather ethereal don't you think?
And of course all the while, the flowers are blooming....
and the mushrooms are glowing....
and then we brought Tonto home to meet herd. (yes, it's an actual herd now...)
                                                                Cricket and Tonto
and JoJo and Tonto
and Belle and Tonto....

and sometimes we have a break to kiss the pony.
and he's a little confused... but he tries to smile....
(it's an odd place, our little world...)

and we've taken everyone out to go for an adventure....

and the leaves are starting to turn....
and the sun sets each night... and sometimes it's really pretty.

and I got a little flag for the Garden, it fits right in huh?
You know your horse is teeny, when it fits on your lap!
Mum is just happy it's not on HER lap.....

And there you have it!
I'll be back again soon.... I've been missing my little blog.
oh, and hey ~ I have started some sketches for Christmas cards!
That's promising huh?
Well, assuming that you have been good and are still on my Christmas card list!

Wha ahahahahah haahahahah !!!

Like Garrison Keillor says,
Be Well
Do Good Work
And keep in touch.

  2. It won't be long till Tonto is riding Scott. ;-)))))
That's a neat flag you've got there. You can barely tell the difference between flag and garden.
Thanks for introducing Tonto to us. :-)

  6. I collect Russian dolls! Love seeing them in different sizes. so if you want to collect horses, go ahead.
Well he is cute and you do have some fun at your place.
The months do seem to fly by and it has turned chilly here too, had the fog the other night. Good to see your post, you make me smile. You read my mind, blackberry ink, was made and had drawn with it when I read your comment. Lovely sunsets and I think Tonto is going to make you smile every day, better for you than that icecream. X

  7. Tonto is just the cutest, I love his eyes and his adooooorable ltttle face! I know nothing of horses... is he a baby, will he grow up, is he a mini horse or a pony? Is there a difference between a mini horse and a pony at all? I love the forest photo.... like from a Twilight book!
