Did someone say something about art?

Well see,  if you wait long enough, something is bound to turn up in here art wise!

Nothing to write home about...but something anyway!

Progress?

I'll see what else I can whip up this winter~

Hope you are having an O.K. Thursday, where ever you may be!

  1. These are so sweet and you are an amazing artist Melody....these look like they should be illustrations for a children's book. If only I was a writer and could come up with a story ...I almost think I could but it would probably be too amateurish to go along with these most professional pieces of art. Being a lover of all types of art and nature there has got to be a story behind these somewhere and at the very least these should be framed for display in an art show or to sell for wall art in a children's nursery....just adorable...I love them all.

  2. thank you for your kind words~ :)))
Normally a lot of inspiration comes from our own animals...
but no, not this time, I don't have a Badger. ~ ha ha
But I do find them charming. (the European, Wind in the Willows sort, not our angry American version...)
These were done during our snow storm...sort of my vision of the perfect things to be doing with snow about!

    1. It feels good to put pencil to paper again! ~ I miss the little nudge to create that "Being Creative" use to provide ! ~ I hope to draw more, and embrace this "hibernation season!"
Rhubarb Bunny was my model for the burrowing ~ he LOVES to dig!

  4. Love the Badger, he's a very good shape, you've captured him well. That hat looks familiar?? I like the fire too, well done! Bunnies are cute, goes without saying :) Hope you are keeping warm over there, we have been hearing tales of such freezing temperatures on the news....eeeek?? How do you cope with it, have you had to stay indoors like they said? You could always snuggle up to a dog :) or any number of other animals? :))) Have fun with the artwork anyway, whilst it's cold outside.

    1. I think badgers are delightful... Yours, not our angry American variety! :)))
Those are the first badgers that have ever sprung from my pencil! :))))
It's been in the teens here, so certainly cold ~ but nothing like the country to the northwest of us.... I can't wrap my mind around -50 with the wind chill factor... Yikes! Suppose to warm up again, but right now ~it's snowing again! :))))

  8. These are so beautiful! Is the little mouse telling a story to the badger?

    1. He's telling Badger about the snow mouse he made outside! (which gives me an idea about what to draw next! :)))) ) And Badger, ever the gentleman, is asking if he'd like to stay for a thimble of tea?
