The makings of a good country song.

A storm coming.... I love that color sky; blueish gray against green trees, and the smell of rain in the air...

Our good ole 1976 baby blue Ford... "Uncle Jesse"... Husband on the hood, and my Luke behind the steering wheel - on what was once an old rail road trestle, high above the Piscataquis River right near the middle of no where Maine....

A moment, frozen in time - Priceless.

Things that make me happy.

Home, my strange little family...pressing my ear to a purring cat, the smell of warm pine needles in the woods, soft green moss, old apple trees and fuzzy honey bees, stone walls, the color blue, warm wooly sweaters, crazy fun funky socks, colored pencils, books, real letters in a real mailbox, old houses, photographs, finding old bits of broken pottery, leathery dog noses, a rainy day at home, four leaf clovers, thunderstorms, the scent of cinammin, a warm hot water bottle, plants, all things tiny and in perfect miniature, kissing my Sophie rabbit on the forehead, the smell of wood smoke in the air on a cold day, being surrounded by craft supplies and having the time to use them... dark chocolate, watermelon, flip flops, Onion Patch Farm apple pie, snow, Autumn in New England, concord grape jelly, fresh apples, old suitcases, good art, a good art magazine and a good cup of tea.
