Nothing Gold Can Stay
by Robert Frost (1874-1963)
Nature's first green is gold.
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf''s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day.
For nothing gold can stay.
A little autumnal poetry for my lovely readers!
Lovely Mel ... you can almost feel the light coming through the screen into the room.

ReplyDeleteI do rather wish they could come up with some other term... I've never been much of a "follower" my self ~ I always seem to have been off on my own wierd little path in the bushes someplace... still am I guess. :))))
