Autumn Gold

Nothing Gold Can Stay
by Robert Frost (1874-1963)

Nature's first green is gold.
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf''s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief.
So dawn goes down to day.
For nothing gold can stay.

A little autumnal poetry for my lovely readers!

    I do rather wish they could come up with some other term... I've never been much of a "follower" my self ~ I always seem to have been off on my own wierd little path in the bushes someplace... still am I guess. :))))
